While the overall apple holdings are down in latest holdings report from the U.S. Apple Association, the increase in Honeycrisp promotions is a perfect fit.
Total U.S. Holdings were down 16% from 2017 in the most recent report from Dec. 1, but the good news is the apple that retailers love to promote – Honeycrisp – is up year-over-year.
Fresh holdings for Honeycrisp on Dec. 1 increased almost 7% from 2017 to 2018, while everyone’s favorite punching bag – red delicious – is down 17% year-over-year.
