Future Co-CEOs Cathy Burns of PMA and Tom Stenzel of United Fresh have named seven current association staff leaders as the senior management team for the new combined association to be launched January 1, 2022.

Produce Marketing Association and United Fresh Produce Association held a member vote this week to seek approval to move forward in creating a single new organization representing the global produce and floral communities.

At a virtual press conference held on April 1, leaders from both organizations shared some insight into why they’re coming together now, after decades of speculation and nearly a decade after previous negotiations fell apart.
