The Kroger Co. and Albertsons Companies Inc. announced today that they have entered a definitive agreement with C&S Wholesale Grocers.

An estimated 400 stores are expected to be divested in Kroger and Albertsons’ $24.6 billion deal, worth up to $2 billion.

C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery supply in the United States, has entered into a definitive agreement with Piggly Wiggly Midwest with the intent to purchase the Wisconsin-based wholesaler.

This partnership is effective immediately with 35 PFG employees across two states starting this week. Over the coming days and weeks, more employees will be joining C&S in the fight to feed America.
