Brothers Produce plans warehouse expansion

PRESS RELEASE — More than just flashy eye-catching trucks, Brothers Produce, BB #:121206 one of the most iconic brands in the fresh produce industry for nearly 45 years, continues to grow, evolve, and add new segments to its ever-expanding business model.

Fresh off of its most significant expansion ever in 2021, with the addition of distribution centers in San Antonio and Dallas, Brothers Produce will add nearly 50,000 square feet of warehousing to retail distribution. From flowers to beverages, fresh produce, and all between Brothers Produce understands the importance of the last mile in the supply chain.

“There is not a single product I have come across yet that we can not distribute to the customer,” Brent Erenwert, Brothers Produce CEO, stated. “Houston Cold Storage, a 3PL division of Brothers Produce created in 2015, taught us quite a bit and ultimately laid the foundation over the past seven years to go into this new venture.”

Houston Cold Storage performs various services, from ripening to labeling, drop-shipping, retail merchandising, freight hauling, drayage, and several other services that assist manufacturers in getting their products to market.

In addition to distribution, Brothers Produce will utilize its buying power, grower relationships, and experienced team of professionals to also assist with helping retailers procure products nationwide.

“This is a very exciting and something I have been looking for the opportunity to expand into, knowing that our service can bring tremendous value to this segment, and that time was now,” Erenwert said.

In addition to the retail expansion, Brothers Produce shows no signs of slowing down on its food service side as it continues to push further north, east, south, and west into new areas of opportunity.

“Lastly, we want to thank our employees, customers, and partners, as none of this would be possible without you. It is all a partnership, and because of all of you, we have been able to grow and bring value to a fantastic industry and city. Thank you.”
